Initially it was going to be an ice-skating scene, but then I was sidetracked by thinking about apples…

The Marches’ home in Little Women is based on Orchard House, where Louisa May Alcott lived for twenty years, and the house was named after the surrounding apples trees. So there are all those apples – and I also love Alcott’s description of her hero Jo retreating to her garret with six apples and a novel to weep over.

Comes with a brown Kraft envelope and a protective biodegradable plastic sleeve.
